What to Include in a Sponsorship Pitch Email

CreatorSuites Team··3 min read

Most sponsorship pitch emails get ignored. Not because the creator isn't talented, but because the email doesn't give the brand what they need to say yes. Here's what actually works.

The goal of your pitch

Your pitch has one job: get a response. Not close the deal — just start a conversation. Keep that in mind and you'll write better emails.

The essential elements

1. A subject line that gets opened

Brand partnership managers receive hundreds of emails. Your subject line needs to stand out without being clickbait.

Good examples:

  • "Partnership idea for [Brand] × [Your Name]"
  • "[Your Name] — creator in [niche] interested in collab"
  • "Sponsored content proposal for [Product]"

Avoid vague subjects like "Collaboration?" or "Quick question."

2. A one-line intro

Don't waste the first line on pleasantries. State who you are and why you're reaching out.

"I'm [Name], a [niche] creator with [X followers] on [platform], and I'd love to work with [Brand] on a sponsored campaign."

3. Why you're a fit

This is where most pitches fail. Brands don't care about your follower count as much as they care about relevance. Show you understand their product and audience.

"I've been using [Product] for [time period] and my audience of [description] regularly asks about [related topic]. A partnership would be a natural fit."

4. Social proof (briefly)

Mention 1-2 brands you've worked with or results you've achieved. Don't list every deal you've ever done.

"I've partnered with [Brand A] and [Brand B], with sponsored posts averaging [X views/engagement]."

5. What you're proposing

Be specific about what you're offering. Don't make them guess.

"I'm thinking a 60-second integration in my weekly video, plus an Instagram story series. Open to discussing other formats."

6. A clear next step

End with a simple call to action.

"Would you be open to a quick call next week to discuss?"

What to leave out

  • Long paragraphs about your journey
  • Your entire rate card (save that for when they're interested)
  • Demands or ultimatums
  • Generic copy that could be sent to any brand

After you send

Track which pitches get responses and which don't. Over time, you'll learn what works for your specific niche and style. The best pitch is one you refine through iteration.
